Anna University plans to facilitate its M.Sc. Information Technology and M. Pharm. students to obtain their degrees from University of Adelaide and University of South Australia respectively. The memorandum of understanding for this and the details would be hashed out after a visit by delegations from the Australian universities by the year-end. The tie-up that entails visits by staff and students to the foreign universities for a six-month duration as part of their programme will lead to enhancement of the quality of technical education by virtue of access to advanced laboratories at affordable costs. The students would have to spend only 40 to 50 per cent of the cost they would incur had they migrated to take up the programmes in the Australian universities.

There is no mention of the Australian University professors visiting AU as part of exchange program. Hopefully that will happen too so the exchange will be two way and other students in AU will benefit also.
