The TN govt has announced the VC for “Anna University” – Trichy. It will be Dr. V. Ramachandran, a current faculty of the Original Anna University.
Following is the excerpt from a news item on this,
Mr. Ramachandran joined the Ramanujan Computing Centre as System Assistant in 1982. He served as a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and associate professor in the Department of Information Technology. He obtained his doctorate degree in Computer Applications in Power Systems from Anna University in 1991 and served as visiting professor in several national and international institutes. He has authored several research publications. “
I quickly googled to look up some of his research papers ( below is some of them) . He has some impressive work published in prestigious journals.

Why our Government do things in haste and as a result confuse everybody?
As Thiruvalluvar said” Enni Thuniga Karumam; Thunnintha Pin Ennuvom Enbathu Illukku”, why didn’t the Govt do the ground work before declaring the bifurcation?
As I am from Trichy, I very much appreciate & welcome the ‘new grownup famous baby’ but how far it will succeed? “All that begins well ends well” and look at what is happening here. B.D.U. Chancellor does not know about the future of current BIT students status; Registrar is not appointed yet so no communication could not be done with anybody including the Govt. What happens to the 5yrs Integrated B.Tech & MBA of BIM? They started it last year only and would they abandon it now or continue…The BIT site is not there anymore..
Hope the new VC starts looking into all the problems and starts his Himalayan task of clearing one by one. I wish him all the best in his new Herculian endeavour.

I felt bad about when u split university into part. Its better when you keep same syllabus pattern in all zones. You wanna think that which will be better for students quality, because in chennai zone Non-semester and covai also trichy zone is semester pattern. So their performance will not be unity. Education pattern should be in perfect manner but not like you that confusion on changing syllabus in every minute. But i feel that some underground politics is going on there. You people preferring only for egoism, mean of between you, i think so. At least you keep same syllabus pattern in all zones. If not its stupidity decision. Dear Trichiites,
I suppose it is useless in discussing in a virtual room.. Both the state and central representatives were pushing down the growth of Trichy.
The main objective of DMK party were,
–>kadal neerai kudineerakkum thittam.
–>Tharisu nilangalai vilai nilangalaga matrum thittam.
–>malaikottai tharaikottaiyaga matrum thittam.
Cities even Salem, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin were ahead of Trichy in infrastructure and development..
–> No trains originating from Trichy.
–> AIIMS Super Speciality hospital scheme shifted to Salem & Madurai due to political preasure
–> Trichy Airport has been de-promoted as per the instruction received from a top politician from Madurai and Madurai airport has been promoted.
–> No trains has been announced by the Railway ministry from Trichy, Instead trains originating from trichy has been extended to other Zones.
–> The state or central representatives from our district is not interested in developing the city. But we are blaming the associations and industries.
The next aim of DMK government is to make Madurai the sub-capital of tamilnadu. Bifurcate Trichy and merge it with Madurai and other surrounding districts. This is because we are not paying tax. Govt (Both Central & State govt) does not get any benefits from Trichy.
–> Central govt cancels almost all the flight services provided by Airindia & Indian airlines from Trichy. The main reason for the loss of NACIL is due to the officials political view.
Ultimately, govt is not functioning based on the democracy, but based on the political influences.
Trichy is expecting its doom’s day..

Just wondering whether anna university BIT Trichy is a worth to study or it would be disappoint for the students who have selected? I have just selected bio-tech for my cousin yesterday. Could you please provide a valid justification about this university. I have selected that university since it is Anna university and when people says its name its very worth. But i wonder why some people said that BIT campus is not worthy. Expecting valuable comments on this. Somebody please……?
